| Recently, Lower Frederick Fire Company hosted a real-world training scenario focusing on Vehicle Rescue / Extrication. In partnership with Upper Salford Fire Company, crews from both companies preformed a realtime extrication. This training was made possible by the donation of two vehicles; Thank you to the local resident and Lower Frederick Township Police, who each donated a vehicle . After being "Dispatched" to the "Incident", Engine 52 and Squad 78 arrived, preformed an initial scene assessment, stabilized the vehicles involved, and finally began extrication efforts. Additional crews assisted with manpower and equipment.
Schwenksville Borough Councilman Tom Slater Sr was one of the stakeholders in attendance that evening. Mr Slater is also the father of two Lower Frederick Firemen: Chief Engineer Adam Slater and Firefighter Tom Slater Jr. Mr Slater shared the attached letter following his attendance of training. We would like to thank Councilman Slater for his kind words and appreciate him taking time out of his schedule to attend.
Perk Valley Now also highlighted Mr Slater's word in a news article, that is attached to this post. The original training post is also attached below. |
